A goal is the destination or objective you are trying to reach.
Goals achieve a purpose.
If we are unsure of our purpose, it will be challenging to set appropriate goals.

I believe the same holds true for goals. If we are unsure of where we are going and what we are trying to reach, our goals will not be focused.
To write goals that are focused, write down the step by step actions needed to have the best chance of successfully ending up at the goal.
