About AOG
Agents of Grace (AOG), was formed in 2002 at Westover Church in response to the events of 9-11. With the desire to provide an easy way to connect people of faith directly into community service, AOG sponsored their first Mission Greensboro event on August 24, 2002, with over 1200 volunteers serving 50 non-profit agencies including schools and public parks.
The success of that inaugural event confirmed the great need in Greensboro and the great willingness of the community to serve others. In 2003, AOG Board of Directors made the decision to establish AOG as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in order to reach and partner with even more churches Ð increasing the number of potential volunteers and their ability to serve even more agencies within the Greensboro Community.
To answer the growing need for help, AOG will continue to expand their list of agencies as well as their database of volunteers desiring to make a difference in their communities.
If you have been looking for a diverse organization to share your skills with, AOG would like to hear from you... If you have participated in Mission Greensboro before, we thank you immensely... you have made a difference!

Statement of Faith
Agents of Grace is a Christian based organization, open to all people, dedicated to showing the love of God by connecting, uniting and deploying people toward active community involvement. Our direction, as an organization, flows from our Statement of Faith and this provides us the foundation upon which we serve our partnering churches and the community at large.
Our Statement of Faith is as follows:
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in his present rule as Head of the Church, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ with equality across racial, gender and class differences.
